In this section, we explain the EVSE network concept in detail and how to manage it effectively.
The setup of next generation pricing model begins with the creation of an EVSE network.
An EVSE network is a collection of EVSEs from the network of charging stations that you operate. You can choose to pool several EVSEs according to the offer and price scheme that you want to build for your partner EMPs.
For example, you might want to organize your network by geographical location and pool together all your EVSEs that are located in the city center, to price them accordingly.
Create the EVSE network by clicking the relevant management tab in the Business Contract section of the Hubject Portal.
When you first visit this section of the Hubject Portal, the page will be empty. You will then be prompted to create your first network by clicking on “Add EVSE network”. The dialog that pops up will request you to provide a name and a description for this new network. There are no requirements for the format of these two fields, but there is a character limit of 50 for the name and 250 for the description.
Once you confirm the network creation, you will be redirected to the Network Details Page. This page displays detailed information on the EVSE networks you have created, such as the name and the description. This page will also display the EVSE groups you will set up as you follow this user guide. Please refer to the following section for creating an EVSE group.
Please note: when you first create an EVSE network, its status is set to Draft: while in this status, you can edit the network at any time and as often as you need. While in draft mode, the EVSE network can be deleted completely.
Please note: our system is updated every three hours, therefore all EVSE data pushed before/after or in between these intervals, will be displayed in our system once the next update run has been completed.
To use Next Generation Pricing to its full potential, you next want to create one or more EVSE Groups.
