The Remote Testing Tool is a way to test remote authorization capability on CPO side and serves as a substitute for the intercharge APP, which has previously been used for the same purpose.
Precondition to use the Remote Testing Tool is to have an active Subscription with the intercharge (EMP).
To make sure this Subscription will be created, please set up a bilateral offer to intercharge and contact support@hubject.com, so we can subscribe to the same.
Step 1: Go to the Remote Testing Tool environment
Log into the HBS as a CPO Admin or a Standard User Testing. Open the side menu and click on 'Remote Testing Tool'.
You will be redirected to the Remote Testing Tool view:
Step 2: Start Charging
Enter one of your registered EVSEIDs and click on 'Start Charging'. The EVSEID must belong to the CPO, HubCPO or SubCPO. After starting a charging session the EVSEID field is not editable anymore. If your implementation is working correctly, the Remote Testing Tool will try to request an authorization at the EVSEID, you have entered.
If the EVSEID has been entered in a wrong format or does not belong to your CPO, you will get an error message:
Step 3: Stop Charging
If you want to stop the charging process, click on 'Stop Charging'. You should be able to observe the stop of the charging session on the charge point.
In case you do not stop the charging session manually, it will automatically end after 20 minutes.
After you have started a charging session at one of your EVSEID, you will be able to start another one. However, the Remote Testing Tool will deny starting a session at an EVSEID, which is already in use (by a session started by the Remote Testing Tool).
The Remote Testing Tool will allow you to start up to 5 charging sessions at a time.
Step 4: Going back to the Hubject Portal
By clicking on the icon next to the logout button you will be redirected to the Hubject Portal. This might be useful if you would like to check the process monitor in case of a charging error. Your charging session(s) will not be stopped, so by clicking on 'Remote Testing Tool' you will always come back to your (active) charging sessions. Please note, that naturally, the charging session(s) will not be stopped in case of logging out.
