2 | What is the pricing for Financial Services? | Financial Services remains free throughout 2024. Thereafter, a small percentage on the payout transaction volumes will be charged to the CPOs. |
3 | How can we integrate Financial Services into our accounting solution? | Financial Services is an end-to-end invoicing and payment solution. You can easily export all financial data as a file and integrate it into your accounting solution. In 2025, we will provide APIs to allow an even smoother integration. |
4 | What countries are being covered by Financial Services? | Financial Services is being offered throughout the EU27, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. We offer trust accounts in all applicable currencies to process your payments. |
5 | Can I issue direct charging B2C invoices with Financial Services? | No, currently only B2B invoicing is supported. Hubject Financial Services will help you with invoicing EMPs for total costs of CDRs in an invoicing period. It cannot at this time help you invoice drivers who charge directly at your stations. |
6 | Can Hubject Financial Services monitor our VAT compliance? | No, Hubject Financial Services can help you manage your cross-country VAT configuration in the tool, but it cannot offer you tax advice on VAT compliance. |
7 | Can the EMPs access Financial Services? | Yes, the EMPs will be able to optionally access the Financial Services dashboard. Here, they can view a full list of the CPOs that have issued them invoices via Financial Services, as well as all invoice statuses and their respective CDRs. |
8 | Do the EMPs have to pay any fees for the Financial Services? | No, there are no fees for the EMPs in Financial Services. The EMPs can choose to optionally access the Financial Services dashboard if they wish to make use of the invoices and CDR overviews. |
9 | What entails the KYC / KYB process? What data will be requested? | Hubject Financial Services GmbH (“HFS”) is operating as a regulated financial institution under the supervision of the German regulator BaFin. |
The Know Your Customer (“KYC”) principle is a requirement for all financial institutions to counteract money laundering (AML), terrorist financing and other economic crime. The minimum requirements of KYC checks include identifying the contractual partner, determining the ownership structure and the beneficial owner, as well as clarifying the economic background. | ||
In the process potential partners are requested to share in particular information to identify the “economic benefical owner”. HFS will actively guide you through the process. | ||
10 | What information is required for onboarding to Financial Services? | In general, you will be asked during onboarding to provide information on legal entities that are being used for invoicing EMPs. And, you will need to set up legal entities for receiving payments from EMPs. |

12 | Do our EMPs also have to onboard in Financial Services? | No, the EMPs can still receive your invoices without needing to onboard themselves in Financial Services. All it takes is that you input the EMPs' invoicing information in your EMP Management tab. |
13 | Is NGP Pricing a requirement to use Financial Services? | Yes, NGP pricing is a requirement to use Financial Services with Hubject OICP CDRs. This is however not required in the case of uploading OCPI CDRs. |
14 | How can I upload OCPI CDRs? | You will be able to push your OCPI CDRs to Hubject Financial Services via API. |
15 | Will the EMPs receive CDRs of both protocols? | Yes, we will provide an attached CSV list of CDRs to the EMPs with each invoice. If both OICP and OCPI CDRs are part of the invoice, they will be both included in the list with their respective data fields. |
16 | Is it possible to calculate a different VAT rate per pricing component? | Yes, you can set up your VAT rules in Financial Services per pricing component. Hubject will calculate the CDRs price by applying the VAT horizontally to each pricing component. |
17 | Can Financial Services invoice Plug&Charge CDRs? | Yes, with financial services you can invoice all CDRs in OICP 2.3 and OCPI 2.2.1 and higher. |
18 | In which formats will invoices be provided in Financial Services? | The invoices will be sent to the EMPs as a PDF file and as a JSON file. A CSV file of all the CDRs pertaining to that invoice will also be attached and sent to the EMP. |
19 | Can we do e-invoicing with Financial Services? | With Financial Services, you will be able to export your invoices as JSON files and financial data as a CSV to use for your e-invoicing. |
20 | Will the invoices be issued in the name of Hubject? | No, the invoices will be issued in the name of the CPO. You will also have the possibility to issue several different invoices per the name of your different organisations. |
21 | What can I invoice in a Hubject Financial Services invoice? | Currently, you can only invoice CDRs in Hubject Financial Services invoices. |
