Hubject differentiates between two business roles for the market players in the electric mobility industry - on the one hand operators of charging infrastructure (CPO), and on the other app or RFID providers of electric mobility (EMP). All functions on the HBS are based upon contractual relationships between the three main roles – the eRoaming platform, the CPO partner and the EMP partner. Each role has different functionalities:
Hub CPO partner
Charge Point Operators (CPOs) provide the charging infrastructure and charge point management solutions, and operate the charging stations at their disposal. They also manage the contracts with EMPs on behalf of their sub CPOs. Each offer that a CPO can make always includes all of their hub and sub CPO's charging stations.
Sub CPO
A CPO partner can integrate a sub CPO. The sub CPO uses the same backend as the superordinate CPO and has no rights of its own on the HBS. A CPO partner can have any number of sub CPOs Please request them on the HBS and get them approved by the Hubject Operations team.
Hub EMP partner
eMobility Providers (EMP) are service providers which enable customers with existing contracts to e.g. charge their electric vehicle on a CPO's charging infrastructure.
Sub EMP
Like CPO partners, EMP partners can have sub partners. They can register sub partners who act on behalf of the superordinate EMP. It may be used to differentiate different brands or different countries within the EMP. Like the sub CPO, a sub EMP has no rights of its own on the HBS. Please request them on the HBS and get them approved by the Hubject Operations team.
