The HBS platform includes the following main features:
- Ensured interoperability of public and semi-public charging infrastructure following accepted standards within the network and the provision of open interfaces to the business users of the platform.
- Simplified authentication and authorisation by a trusted authority and the protection of particular data by decoupling personal data.
- Automation of the order-based business relationships between energy suppliers, automotive manufacturers, infrastructure providers and other eMobility business partners.
- B2B information services for the realisation of advanced services in the potential fields of energy management, traffic management, vehicle reservation, intelligent charging and car sharing.
The exchange of information between Hubject and the backend systems of eMobility Providers (EMPs) and Charge Point Operators (CPOs) are based entirely on Web service communication in accordance with the REST standard. Service requests are only processed by Hubject when a valid contract is in place for the requested service between EMP and CPO. For further details regarding the IT architecture, please refer to the Open InterCharge Protocol (OICP). You can freely access the documentation for OICP 2.3 on Github.
